Wuthering Waves

Kuro Game’s Wuthering Waves, a free-to-play open-world action RPG akin to Genshin Impact, is out on May 22nd. It will launch for PC via the Epic Games Store, iOS and Android. Check out the latest cinematic trailer below, which sees some of the main cast exploring the ruins of the old world (and battling its threats).

Players control Rover, who awakens in the world of Solaris-3 and joins the Resonators to combat the Lament, responsible for an age of apocalypse. The open world offers a variety of environments to explore, with several movement options like wall dashes, grapples and more.

Combat is very similar to the developer’s other action RPG, Punishing: Gray Raven, with parries, dodges, counters and more. There are several other unique mechanics, like defeating enemies and bosses to temporarily summon them in combat. Of course, like Genshin and PGR, it also has gacha mechanics for pulling new characters. Pre-registrations are available now, so stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
