Bandai Namco confirmed in the run up to The Game Awards that it would be announcing the next DLC character for Tekken 8 at the event, and now we know who to expect. Many were expecting that Final Fantasy 7’s Tifa Lockhart would be added owing to strong demand from fans, and though the DLC character is indeed a Final Fantasy star, it’s not Tifa.
Clive Rosfield, the Dominant of Ifrit and the protagonist of Final Fantasy 16, is the next DLC character for Tekken 8. Arriving next week for the fighting title’s roster, Clive will wrap up the game’s Year 1 of DLC support, with Year 2 set to kick off in Spring 2025. Gameplay footage in the trailer offers glimpses of what Clive will bring to the table, with a moveset entailing high-flying, explosive, fiery attacks fit for the Dominant of Ifrit. Tekken 8 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Final Fantasy 16 is available on PS5 and PC.
