Mass Effect Legendary Edition (1)

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition lives up to its name in almost every way possible. Not only does it provide the best and most polished experience of the original trilogy, it also brings together all three games and nearly all of their post-launch expansions and DLC into a single package. A few things have still been left out, of course, with the most notable being Mass Effect 3’s co-op multiplayer mode- though it’s possible that it might be added soon, and that an announcement for the same is imminent.

Insider @Shpeshal_Ed of Xbox Era recently took Twitter and claimed that based on what he’s heard, EA might announce Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer for Legendary Edition at its EA Play Live show, which has been confirmed for July. Of course, this follows shortly after comments by Legendary Edition’s project director Mac Walters, who suggested that BioWare might consider adding ME3’s multiplayer to the remastered collection after launch based on reception from fans.

If this does happen, it’s bound to make a lot of people very happy, what with the multiplayer mode being popular and beloved amongst a large number of series fans. With the Galactic Readiness system having been retooled for Legendary Edition, the multiplayer will also likely be a completely independent experience. Of course, this is still unverified info right now, so take it with a grain of salt.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
