Remedy’s FBC: Firebreak arrives this Summer with more extensive gameplay and details about its Crisis Kits, Jobs, and Tools provided in a new Community Look. In a new PlayStation Blog post, community manager Julius Fondem also revealed Altered Augments.

Each Crisis Kit contains a different Tool, an “improvised device,” and an Augment containing a powerful ability. They’re untested, but times are tough for the Bureau, and desperate times call for desperate measures. “Surely, nothing can go wrong,” adds Fondem.

The Augments in question include the Garden Gnome (AI9). When attached to the Electro-Kinetic Charge Impactor and launched at enemies, it creates a lightning storm. Not only is this good for dealing damage and stunning enemies, but it also drains batteries.

For the Wrench, there’s the Piggy Bank (AI16) – swing the two together, and you’ll unleash a “paranatural coin tornado.” Once the tornado returns, the Piggy Bank self-repairs and readies for another barrage. The Teapot (AI44) is for the Crank-Operated Fluidic Ejector, turning up the water’s heat and scalding enemies, inflicting the Burn status. It also prevents the Tool from overheating.

Of course, there are trade-offs, as each can hurt your allies. The Teapot also makes it so the COFE can’t remove conditions from allies (except “Cold”).

Playable on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC at launch, FBC: Firebreak will also be available on day one for Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium. Remedy also confirmed all post-launch content will be free.
