Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO

Excitement surrounding the return of the beloved Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series has been high for a while, and boy oh boy is it showing in the numbers. Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO became available in early access for those who have purchased its Deluxe or Ultimate Editions, and Bandai Namco’s 3D arena fighter is already attracting a sizeable audience.

As per SteamDB, at the time of writing, Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO’s peak concurrent player count on Steam stands at 91,005 players, which is higher than any other major fighter on the platform. It stands above the likes of Street Fighter 6 (70,573 peak concurrent players), Tekken 8 (49,977), Dragon Ball FighterZ (44,303), Mortal Kombat 1 (38,129), and Guilty Gear Strive (31,156).

What’s even more impressive is that this is the audience attracted the game has announced just on the first day of its early access period. It should be interesting to see how these numbers grow over the coming days, especially when the game launches in full.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO will launch globally on October 11 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
