In the immediate afterglow of Silent Hill 2, many are wondering whether we can expect more Silent Hill games from developer Bloober Team in the future- but of course, as we now know, the studio also has other irons in the fire, having recently also revealed sci-fi survival horror title Cronos: The New DawnIn fact, not only is Bloober aiming high with Cronos itself, the studio also seems to have ambitions for turning it into a franchise in the future.

Speaking with IGN in a recent interview, when asked if there was potential for the Cronos IP to continue beyond its upcoming debut, director and designer Wojciech Piejko suggested that that was very much part of Bloober Team’s long-term plan.

“Definitely, definitely, definitely. Yeah, we’ve got plans for Cronos,” he said.

In the same interview, Piejko and co-director Jacek Zieba spoke about some of Cronos: The New Dawn’s biggest inspiration, mentioning titles such as Dead Space, Resident Evil, and Alan Wake. Read more on that through here.

Cronos: The New Dawn is due out next year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
