28. Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
The first game introduced us to the intricacies, complexities and terrors of Max Payne’s existence (and Bullet Time gameplay, which felt like a dream restricted to Hollywood movies). The Fall of Max Payne went even further, amping up the drama and action while delivering more of the pulp story-telling we’ve come to love from the first game. As good as the third game ended up being, there’s a certain charm to the older titles and what they offered.
